[He pauses, eyes wide. Damn flood!]

[He quickly turns the feed off, before he starts talking about his daughter the last thing he needs is everyone knowing about that.]

[He smirks.] Ah, yes. Perhaps we could... [His plan still stands. Omega doesn't want a relationship like that, at least not for now, so...]

Of course I have. They're in the cupboard over there. [He points to the cupboard on the left, then sits down, apparently expecting the Doctor to get the glasses.]

Ah, yes, well... [He turns in a circle, trying to find a place to put the bottle before he actually goes to get those glasses. Which he does, finally, and brings one over to Rassilon to fill for him.] I'm sorry about the announcement. These floods can be abysmal. In some cases I believe them to make inmates worse.

[He snorts.] That doesn't surprise me. Especially since I would say this was one of the more tolerable ones. [It's not his worst secret, at least.]

It's been doing at least one very good friend of mine worse rather than better. [Genuine sadness at the idea of what was becoming of Rex. He goes over to the other chair and sits sideways in it, legs over the arm 'cause he's tiny. He can fit. He fills his own glass and resists drinking out of the bottle for the sake of being polite.]

[He frowns slightly at the way the Doctor sits -- really, Doctor, that's not how you're supposed to do it -- and takes a sip. Oh. He missed good wine.] Omega thinks the instabilities power the ship.

I've heard that as well. I'm not necessarily a proponent of the theory. Given how badly some of the engineers reacted to seeing the power source I'm starting to think we do. [His younger self being one of them. He drinks his glass quickly. And yes, you want to manipulate him? You have to put up with him being a touch of a heathen.] In any case, I don't think we're meant to know and I'd prefer not to. I want to be done with this place as soon as possible. [Disdainfully.]

[Rassilon raises an eyebrow -- the Doctor will not start with the self-loathing again now, will he? Mo? No. Good.

The next question, though, is an interesting one.]

Maybe you could elaborate? Do you mean during the Pythia's reign? The revolution? Or afterwards? Or maybe just the planet itself?

The revolution. [Something that would make him proud. Something that would feed him, outside of the harder memories.] The early days of it. When you decided to change everything.

[Well, the revolution is a bit difficult. He'd never regret it and he still thinks it was necessary, but when it comes to the concept... He doesn't like 'change' the way he used to.]

It was simply a matter of making the people aware of the Pythia's wrongdoings. To use their unrest. Then... It did start with burning down the Capitol.

[He remembers that day. He remembers how he had showed the fires to Omega, keeping his friend and himself a safe distance away from the fighting. He remembers how upset it had made Omega.]
