But he'd still kick him off the planet if he started making a big show of himself.] The point generally is that alien defectors need to be kept safe from intergalactic conflict and the entire planet needs to be protected from invasion. To maintain our political affiliations it's generally a bad idea to have someone challenging the universe just for a good time.
